Pedestrian trails in Porqueira
In order to highlight the most emblematic resources of the county, the Municipality of Porqueira designed a pedestrian route to connect them all. Starting and ending at the Town Hall itself, the route comprises a total of 12 km of low/medium difficulty.
The route allows us to visit different notable resources, passing through different landscapes and land uses: from the church of Santa Maria de Porqueira, or the viewpoint of A Fervenza, to the Torre da Forxa, and then reaching the cultivated plain and the forest. Finally, you will find the small Lagoa de Míllaras and the Lima River in the plains of Ponteliñares, a natural area of interest within the Natura Network.
Of them all, the waterfall stands out above the rest. It is reached from the path that passes through the Torre da Forxa, which can be part of a smaller circular route of only 4 km.
The maximum altitude reaches 764 meters above sea level. Point where we will have a magnificent panorama of the A Limia plain to the north and the winding mountains of Tourém and Pitões das Júnias.

Easy route but for which you must be used to walking. It is recommended to bring water, comfortable shoes and some complementary material to guide you if necessary. In addition, binoculars should not be missing to be able to see different species of birds. It is also necessary to assess the appropriate time of year. Spring and early autumn are the period of time when more contrasts are observed, accompanied by milder weather conditions.
