The council organises the twenty-first edition of the route that will bring together a maximum of 100 participants on Sunday 6 June.
The Council of Muíños is warming up for a summer that, if the coronavirus allows it, will be full of activities in O Corgo. The tourist and sports complex located in the reservoir of As Conchas will be one of the points of reference for sports and camps, both those organised by public administrations and youth groups that, for years, have chosen the facilities as their base of operations.
One of the first activities to take place in the municipality, and whose celebration was confirmed this week by the Council presided by Plácido Álvarez, will be the twenty-first edition of the “Andaina Serra do Xurés”. The 20-kilometre trekking route planned for Sunday 6 June will cover places of great scenic and heritage interest in the area of the Baixa Limia-Serra do Xurés natural park. Starting and finishing at the O Corgo complex, the walkers will cross centuries-old “soutos” and abandoned villages, as well as enjoying megalithic remains and panoramic views “that make this event one of the most beautiful and complete in the Galician calendar”, emphasise the organisers.
Those interested in participating must register before 3 June at the municipal offices, with a maximum of 100 participants. The registration fee of 10 euros includes a T-shirt, showers and lunch at the end of the route in O Corgo.
