The Diputación de Ourense has just improved the accessibility of the river promenade of O Corgo, in Muíños, within a project through which the conservation of the existing pavement in this area of the tourist-sports complex was reinforced.
The work undertaken included, in addition to the improvement of the degraded areas, the laying of low-maintenance grass to solve the safety and accessibility problems detected. With this, the O Corgo complex has improved a space for the use of visitors and enhances this area as a tourist destination.
In addition, this action serves as support for other interventions focused on leisure and free time, with the aim of promoting this destination from the perspective of sport and adventure, in which a series of spaces are designed and enabled that will energise this area of action.
The initiative is part of the Fronteira Esquecida project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the INTERREG V A Spain-Portugal Programme (POCTEP) 2014-2020.
