More than 400 participants from fifteen provinces and the north of Portugal, 80% of them in groups, will cover a 6 kilometre circuit that will test their ability to overcome more than 25 different types of obstacles.

The activity will take place on Friday, October 29th at 5:00 p.m.

The bike race attracted more than 200 riders from all the nearby Spanish and Portuguese regions.

Framed in the European project Fronteira Esquecida Río Limia-Lima, the race will be divided into three stages with a route of more than 120 kilometres through the municipalities of Muíños, Lobios and the Portuguese town of Montealegre, with the professional cyclist Óscar Pereiro as the race’s sponsor.

It is a competitive cross-border event that will take place on 18, 19 and 20 June in the Gerês – Xurés Cross-border Biosphere Reserve.

The Municipality of Ponte de Lima started, at the end of last year, the action related to the conservation of the ecovia platforms in the previously selected extensions.

The documentary addresses the linguistic, cultural, social and historical links between the territories and people on both sides of the border between Galicia and Portugal.
